Meet your Doula
Hello — I’m Brittany, founder of Empowering Beginnings Doula Services. I am a certified doula and CPR certified, with a decade of hands-on clinical experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant, much of it on labor & delivery and postpartum units. From childhood I knew I wanted to care for others and pursue work in the medical field; over the years I have combined that calling with specialized training to support growing families through pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood.
I launched Empowering Beginnings because I believe every family deserves informed, compassionate support. Having experienced a birth where I lacked that advocacy, I understand how easily parents can feel uncertain and defer entirely to providers. As a doula, my goal is to empower families — boosting confidence, clarifying options, and providing non-judgmental, evidence-informed guidance so you can make decisions that feel right for you.
We support all families regardless of age, sexual orientation, religion, family size, marital status, or path to parenthood, including surrogacy, IVF, and adoption. Our care is grounded in love, compassion, and respect, and tailored to your needs and values.

Simple Doula Services

One-hour in person consultation to map out your preferred birth plan, as well as a back up. We answer any questions you may have with non-judgmental and unbiased facts.

Clients have full access to email and phone support from the time a contract is signed until a doula is no longer needed.

Continuous labor assistance, from first contraction to first cuddle.

In-home visits focused on recovery, feeding, and emotional wellness.

Here we believe in the power of the placenta. We offer encapsulation, burial herb preparation, placenta prints, and keepsakes.

Access to me at all business hours (9am-6pm) through phone and/or emails
24/7 on call from 35th week of pregnancy to birth
One post-partum visit to discuss mental health, feeding, and answer any questions

Other Services
This is typically an add on service for our lovely families that would like some one to come in and help with the baby in various ways or every day house hold tasks such as but not limited to:
dishes
laundry
sweeping
mopping
walking the dog
vacuuming
Services are priced per shift, day shifts are a minimum of 4 hours in the day time
This service allows for our families to sleep and catch up on spending time with an older sibling getting a new routine in place. The doula will:
prepare bottles
clean pump parts and bottle
bring baby to mother to breast feed
change diapers and log them
bag and store milk according to CDC guidelines
small quiet house hold tasks like laundry or organization.
services are prices by shift, night shifts are no less than 6 hours
Here at Empowering Beginnings we believe that the placenta is a vital part of not only the pregnancy and growing baby but to also be a spiritual binder to our ancestors and the land. We are offering placenta services including:
Burial preparation with herbs such as rosemary, lavender, and lemon balm $100
Placenta print with umbilical keep sake $150
Encapsulation with natural herbs $350
